Privacy Policy (Draft — for legal review before publishing)
This is a generic placeholder. It must be reviewed and replaced by the organization operating your PMaster account's legal counsel to meet New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 before this platform goes live for real users.
What we collect
Name, email address, phone number, property/lot details, defect descriptions and photos you submit through this platform.
Why we collect it
To create and manage your account, to route and track defect reports during your property's warranty period, and to notify you of updates to reports you've submitted.
How we store it
Data is stored in a secure database with access restricted by role-based permissions; photos and documents are stored in encrypted cloud storage.
Who we share it with
Your data is only visible to authorised personnel of the organization operating your PMaster account involved in processing your request (e.g. project staff and the subcontractor assigned to your defect). We do not sell your data to third parties. We may use third-party service providers (e.g. email delivery, cloud hosting) solely to operate the platform.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access and request correction of your personal information. Contact the organization operating your PMaster account for any privacy-related request.
Data retention
We retain your data for the duration of your property's warranty period and a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes, unless you request earlier deletion where legally permissible.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (password hashing, encrypted storage, access controls, audit logging) to protect your information.
